Orelle is a small mountain village in the Maurienne Valley that during the winter season, via its "Trois Vallées Express" gondola lift, gives access to Val Thorens and the 3 Valleys, one of the highest ski areas in Europe. The village of Orelle is only one hour from Chambéry and one hour 30 minutes from Turin, via the Fréjus tunnel. Parking is free. From the village at 880 metres, it takes 15 minutes by gondola lift to reach the base of the slopes at 2350 metres, where you take a chair lift up to the Col de Rosaël and the slopes of Val Thorens. The red and blue runs of Orelle valley are very nice slopes, but obviously the real interest of this resort is the fast connection to the summit of the 3 Valleys ski area. Note that Orelle's lower slopes stop at 2350 metres; it is only possible to return to Orelle village by going down in the gondola lift.
