Margériaz, located in the beautiful massif des Bauges in Savoie, is a small family ski resort that is ideal for beginners. The resort is only 40 minutes from Chambéry by car. Its ski runs, ranging from an altitude of 1400 m to 1900 m, are especially suited to beginners and intermediate skiers. In fact, over half of the runs are classified blue and are fairly wide, perfect for skiing down peacefully with the children. For a relatively low altitude resort, the snow cover at Margériaz is generally very good with most runs open from December through to April.
