The ski resort of Les Sept Laux in Isère is just half an hour's drive from Grenoble. It consists of three linked sites covering two mountain sides. To the east, with more sun in the morning, is Le Pleynet (1450 m) which overlooks the Haut Bréda valley, with the spectacular peaks of the Belle Etoile and the Cabotte just opposite the ski runs. To the west, with more sun in the afternoon, is Prapoutel (1350 m) with its numerous hotels, appartments and shops, and Pipay (1550 m), a small village surrounded by trees, overlooking the Grésivaudan valley.
