Le Grand Bornand is a ski resort in the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps. It is situated in the heart of the Aravis mountain range, between Lake Annecy, Mont-Blanc and Switzerland. Grand Bornand Village at 1000 metres in altitude is a charming authentic mountain village. The downhill ski slopes start in Grand Bornand village and extend to Chinaillon village, six kilometres above, on the road to the Col de la Colombière. The ski area is that of a leading resort, with a range of slopes that suit all types of skier, beginners to advanced. The resort has one of the best snow parks in the French Alps and also an excellent cross country ski area, with approximately 60 kilometres of runs. Non-skiers can choose from a range of sporting and cultural activities, or could try something more unusual such as a hot air balloon flight over the resort.
